February 4, 2025A cooperation agreement between JCRS and TCRS was concluded!

To the Members of the Japanese Coral Reef Society

A cooperation agreement between the Japanese Coral Reef Society (JCRS) and the Taiwanese Coral Reef Society (TCRS)  was concluded at the 27th annual meeting of the Japanese Coral Reef Society held in Miyazaki, Japan, held from November 28 to December 1, 2024, and signed during the meeting on November 30, 2024.

With the growing impact of global environmental change, many of the challenges facing coral reefs now extend far beyond the borders of a single country. In light of this situation, the two societies have decided to conclude this agreement to promote information sharing and personnel exchange between Japan and Taiwan, which are connected by the Kuroshio Current, with the two societies playing a central role.

In the future, as the Japanese Coral Reef Society, we will provide information on funding opportunities, strengthen access to each publication, and promote knowledge and personal exchange of members between both societies.
