Public Symposium
Asia-Pacific coral reefs
-Japan’s role in conservation of Asia-Pacific coastal ecosystems-
Date and Time: 13:30 – 16:30, Nov. 22 (Thursday)
Venue: “Okinawa Prefecture Seinenkaikan (2-15-23 Kume, Naha-city, Oklinawa Japan 900-0033)”
The Japanese Coral Reef Society was established in 1997 and legalized in 2017. Our research and conservation work is expanding to wider Asia-Pacific regions. These activities are not only conducted by visiting Japanese researchers but also conducted through collaborations with local organizations. This symposium will introduce some examples of collaborative work with local organizations. We are hoping that these collaborations will continue and expand.
