Coral continuously produce and deposit their carbonate skeleton, and became one of the leading builders for coral reefs. Therefore, coral is an attractive research target not only for biologist but also for a geologist. The legacies of coral and coral reef provide us the past relationships among coral, coral reefs, and earth environmental changes. The symposium introduces “how to scope the relationships using the coral and coral reef legacies” by geologists.
